Kaleb just hasn’t been quite ‘right’ over the last month. He’s had a weird cough, running temperatures off an on, and overall just isn’t acting like himself.
Unless a co-pay is on the line.
I know I’m not the only parent who has experienced this phenomenon. You know, your child is deathly sick, you call the doctor in a panic and quickly haul your child to the doctor’s office.
Where they run around like a crazy person, laughing and talking up a storm with no indication that they are anywhere close to being sick.
Apparently, the opening of my wallet somehow releases ‘healing’ endorphins that run rampant through a little body. Go figure.
Yep, I've been there before :) I hope your little guy gets back to his old self soon.
ReplyDeleteOh man, that stinks! I've had that happen too.
ReplyDeleteI hope he gets better!
I am completely familiar with that phenomenon. I wish it were more like, "Hey, why don't we go spend $25 at Walmart, so that you can be completely well before we've finished checkout." At least it'd be more fun spending the $25 that way.
ReplyDeleteYep, we've been there too! Sometimes the healing powers aren't activated until I spend the money for the co pay AND medication. And we aren't big on medication to begin with.... double whammy!
ReplyDeleteHope little man is feeling better!
...and to be told that it is just a virus and to just wait it out....
ReplyDelete(I know that is not the case with Kaleb but I hate it when that happens!)
Arg! I hate that. Perhaps just waft money in front of his nose while he is sleeping. :o)
ReplyDeleteDid you get the results back from the lab work? Everything normal?
