One thing that I don’t like about being a mom is feeling helpless. Knowing that there is nothing that I can do in a situation, other than sit and watch and wait…frankly drives me nuts.
Today I’m sitting next to Kaleb while he is sick and exhausted and looking ever-so-pitiful. Other than holding his head in my lap, getting him something to drink and praying over him, there is nothing I can do to stop what’s going on in his little body.
There are days when being a mom isn’t fun ~ not because I don’t love my kids, but because I love them beyond measure and hate to see them in pain and sick. So while I’m feeling helpless, I’m doing the only thing I can…pouring out love on my little bug.
Praying with you now!
ReplyDeleteSorry he is sick!
Agreed this is the worst part of being a mom!
Love and blessings,
Jill
ooo no!!!!! Sammy was sick on Friday!! We must have "shared" our germs on Wednesday! Sorry! Sammy was pathetic on Friday just laid on the floor all day! Sorry!! I hope Kaleb feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteYuck. I hate it when my kids are sick too. Praying for a quick recovery!
ReplyDeleteI think my mother still feels that way, and I'm 21 years old. Not so much when I'm ill anymore, but when I'm ravaged by the world, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteHope Kaleb gets well soon.
Awww! I hope that he gets better soon and that you make it through this yourself. I know exactly what you mean about feeling helpless when they are sick. It's such a horrible feeling. May God comfort both of you during this time.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry he is sick. I agree, I feel so helpless when my daughter is sick. There's just nothing you can do, but you want to!
ReplyDeleteI hope he feels better soon!
Oh, poor boy! I hope he gets better very soon. I also hope he doesn't spread it to the whole family. I also hope you get some sleep tonight. :)
ReplyDeleteI had a day like that last week when my youngest was sick and feverish...
ReplyDeleteOh, poor little guy...and poor you! I know that feeling well. Hope he's recovering...
ReplyDeleteI hope he's feeling much better now! I just went through this with all 3 girls at the same time, high fevers and all. It's a terrible feeling that definitely drives you to prayer. I was so thankful when the fevers broke and the girls perked up. Makes me pray extra hard for those families with children who are chronically or seriously ill -- I don't know how they manage.
ReplyDeletePoor baby...praying for wellness!
