Who is Exalted?

We’ve been listening non-stop to our Seeds Worship CDs around these parts. As in all.the.time. That’s a very good thing, considering it is literally Scripture put to music.

Assuming that your children are singing the correct words.

As we were listening to the song ‘Be Still’ from the Seeds of Praise album, all of the kids were singing along. I stopped, reveling in the fact that our kids were singing and learning the Word of God.

Until I heard Zachary singing from the backseat ~ ‘You will be exalted, Momma Nature…’

The correct lyrics? You will be exalted among the nations.

Big difference, no?

Head on over to Mary's at Not Before 7 for some more Tiny Talk Tuesday!!

  1. It is funny to hear what the kids think the songs say, when we listen a little bit closer. When my oldest was little, her funny mistake got repeated by all of us so much we still laugh and sing it. "Row, row, row your boat...merrily like a butter dream." All of us agreed a butter dream might be a good thing. :)

  2. That is so cute :) My little girl has her own version of songs as well and it is so cute to hear :) The Lord knows what they mean and I'm sure it brings a smile to His face to hear them sing His praises :)

  4. I'll never forget my oldest singing "the old nugget cross"! It had never occurred to me that at 3, he wasn't all the familiar with the adjective rugged, and so he heard nugget :-)

  5. That's sweet. I love hearing the little ones sing God's praises. How about this one from my 6yo:

    When my world is shaking,
    Heaven danced.

A little different from the actual lyrics:

    When my world is shaking,
    Heaven stands.

But hey, shaking, danced, I see where he's coming from, don't you?!
