Remember last week when I told you about my little surprise ~ the one where Kaleb announced in the middle of our shopping trip to Target that he was wearing underwear?
He hasn’t gone back. Aside from a few {very} minor accidents, the little stinker has been using the bathroom all.the.time.
Without reminders from me at all.
{Yes, that would be a heavenly chorus that you hear singing}.
While I realize that he is a little older than our other kids in training, this is way better than I had even expected it to be. Our other kids potty-trained in a day, but they responded well to bribery in any form.
Kaleb was immune. Candy wouldn’t sway him. A much desired toy had no effect.
Needless to say, this sudden turn of events has one mommy in particular rather overjoyed and dancing a happy, little jig.
I will be flying past the diaper aisle this month!
Great news well done Kaleb xxx
ReplyDeleteYeah for Kaleb! The little guys is growing up!
ReplyDeleteWOOHOO!!!! Just think about all that money you'll be saving now. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful news...now can he call my Caleb and get him on board?
ReplyDeletewoohoo WTG Kaleb!! Now its time to buy some belts.. or atleast that is what we had to do with Sammy :-)
ReplyDeleteIs it bad that I'm jealous and wishing my 1 yr old was potty trained? LOL!
ReplyDeletebuy yourself a celebratory purse with the saved dough :0)
ReplyDeleteWhen my last kid was out of diapers, we took the whole family to Chuck E. Cheese for a celebration dinner. I totally understand your excitement! Wtg, Kaleb!
ReplyDeleteThat's so wonderful! I know how nice it is for me to have no one in diapers. Of course, that will change in about 3 mo., but hey, it will only be one in diapers then!
ReplyDeletewoooooohooo!!!
ReplyDeleteboth of my littles have been out of diapers for a bit now, and we're expecting our third in just a few weeks...I'll admit I think I look forward to diapering almost the least! ^_^
LOL I love the heavenly choir singing! One day I will hear it too! Although I thought I heard distant strains of it when I put Little Man on the potty and he came out saying he had gone #1 when actually he had gone #2 (sorry if TMI!) I practically swooned with joy!!
ReplyDeleteOK. I am officially GREEN WITH ENVY! Can he come talk to my son?
ReplyDeleteThat's great!
ReplyDeleteThat's so good to read because my 3 year old wants no part of potty training and no bribery has worked thus far!! It's so frustrating!! Maybe he'll just take it up some day soon. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous. My 3 year old will be 4 in July and he says he MIGHT be ready to potty when he is 9, and I believe him, he understands the concept he just doesn't want to.
