Even though your kids may be done teething, hang onto that little tube of Orajel! Our kids are a little skittish when it comes to having me remove splinters, and the Orajel has come in handy on many occasions lately.Put a little bit around the area where the splinter is and it will help 'numb' the area so you can work on getting the splinter out with minimal pain for your kids!
Just wanted to pass along a little something that is Working for Me!
What a fantastic idea!! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHuh! who'da thunk it? YOU! ;) Thanks for sharing - I'll have to keep this in mind. My 4 yr old has had 2 splinters - can we say freak out!? I think he's more afraid of the tweezers coming at him than anything, but maybe if we can distract him with this 'majic' gel he'll settle down to just get it over with. HA!

How smart! I will have to get some to keep on hand. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteVery smart -- super mom. I can see that working but never would have thought about it.
ReplyDeleteWow great idea! Never though of that! I should pass that along to the camp I used to work at. We did a lot of splinter removal there it seemed. We would use ice to try an numb it a bit, but this is a much better idea!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! With 5 kids (4 of them boys) I take out splinters weekly. I am going to have to try this. thanks!
ReplyDeleteI am so going to have to go buy me some Orajel! I have one total and complete wimp when it comes to splinter removal. This will definitely come in handy!
ReplyDeleteMy kids are going to love this! Their going to want to know why I didn't find this out sooner!
ReplyDeleteSa-weet! Great tip and thanks for sharing!!!! I think you'll like my post too!
ReplyDeleteGenius! I'll definitely have to do this. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMy boys are going to LOVE this! And I'm going to LOVE being the new favorite pick to get their splinters out. (Usually they choose their dad to operate. Lol!)
ReplyDeleteOK I have had to deal with this before and I have Orajel but never thought to use it like this.
ReplyDeleteI know however in the future I will!

ReplyDeletegreat idea! I've used it right before my little ones get their shots. Sometimes the littlest ones even sleep through it!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it will work on my husband, too. He is kind of a weinie when it comes to splinter removal. You'd think that I was removing a log from his hand.
ReplyDeleteGreat tip!
