I made some applesauce recently and tried serving it to the kids. Rick and I both love it (and so do a few others in the house), but Zachary is not-too-thrilled with the few lumps and chunks that are in it.
At dinner, Rick tried to convince Zachary that the applesauce was tasty.
R: Eat it. It's really good.
Z: No, it isn't.
R: Mommy made it. It's delicious.
Z: It isn't delicious. It's de-sgusting!

While getting breakfast ready for the kids, Zachary came in the kitchen and asked what we were having. I told him 'bagels' and he immediately started whining. And whining. And WHINING.
He loves bagels, so amid all the screaming I asked him, "Since when don't you like bagels?"
The whining immediately stopped.
"Bagels? Oh. I thought you said 'pickles'!"

Z: "Mom. I need some more pants - my drawer is empty."
(Mommy digs through a laundry pile).
Z: "Can you buy me some new pants? With patches on them?"
Can you tell who gets a lot of hand-me-downs and yard sale finds? *grins*
Don't forget to head over to Mary's at Not Before 7 for some more Tiny Talk Tuesday!
That is too funny. You probably could go to the store and find pants with holes in them!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I forgot to tell you too that there is a gift for you awaiting on my blog. I tend to forget things!
I just love the gracious, thankful hearts at the meal table when they don't like something, huH? LOL! I hear, "YUCK!". Lovely.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I have some where the patches wore thin, would he like those? Tell him they are DIY jeans, put on your own patches.
