Too Big too Fast

There are times that I hear Laurianna talking and it makes me sad in some ways. Her tone of voice. Topic of choice. They just sound too big for her little being. Yes, I know she's almost seven. But does she have to grow up quite so fast?

Today after we finished schoolwork I was working in the kitchen and she was getting ready to go downstairs for quiet time. She was talking to McKenna and said, "Today I don't think I'm going to play. I think I might get a little scrapbooking done."

I almost laughed because it sounded so grown up! I suppose though pretty soon I might be able to let her take over the albums for me though. :)

  1. I come from a family of 6 and it seems that the oldest is much more mature at an early age. My youngest sister and I are 16 years apart and I can't believe how fast she has grown and matures right before our eyes. That is why even on the rough days I try and enjoy my little guy to the fullest! I know through your blog that you enjoy yours as well.

  3. Kids grow up too fast!

I wanted to let you know that I am having a book giveaway. To enter all you need to do is post ten struggles you face as a Christian woman and also your age. I am trying to survey as many women as possible for research for a book I want to write. If you have a few minutes, come check out my blog. Thanks and God bless.

  4. Thanks to a stray comment from my mom, my 4-year-old is now asking to "scrapbook" almost daily. Who can count the hours she's already logged cutting, pasting, stickering and coloring, and we have three staple-bound construction paper books to show for it. The comment? Oh, it was, "All grown-up girls scrapbook..." She's four. And "scrapbooking." Ah, kids.
