I'm sure you've been sitting on the edge of your seat just waiting to see my new "to do" lists haven't you? Here's a little peek at it:
This little to-do list prints off postcard size, four to a page of the same day and I cut it on my paper trimmer after printing. I have one list for every day of the week but Saturday. The way I've set up my lists is that I have certain things I do on certain days. Some things need to be done every day (like laundry, cooking, all the FUN stuff). And just to make it all "cutesy" and appealign to me, I had to put some fun little clip art on it.
Essentially, the mini-lists/postcards are summed-up versions to remind myself each day of the things that I wish/hope/pray to accomplish that day. I have room on each card to add additional things that might apply to that day, space to write in that night's meal plan, and space to put extra things for which area of the house I might be focusing on (our bedroom, the kid's rooms, living room, etc..).
This is a copy of my complete weekly plan:
That is the "sum up" version of the weekly stuff that might go on at our house. Of course, things always come up, plans get interrupted and schedules change. It's just nice to have a plan in place for the best-case scenario. :)
Gosh, come over to my house and organize me!
ReplyDeleteOh my word! That's genious. I love the "Focus For The Week" idea.
ReplyDeleteOoOoOo...looks like you are under-the-influence of Fly-Lady! Am I right? ;-) I LOVE your organizational skills...wish I had those, too. I laugh that I bought a book called, "The Organized Homeschooler", but I haven't taken the time to read it yet. Actually, I have been wanting to read (as it has been highly recommended to me) "Help for the Harried Homeschooler"! Thanks for sharing...your kids are so cute! :-)
ReplyDeletecan i just use yours? that would save me all kinds of headaches:0)
ReplyDeleteHmmm very insightful planning! Where does the energy come from to accomplish it and stay on top of it all? Love your layout...where did you find it? I have been looking to change the background on my site but I so new...so many people have better layouts and I would love to change mine! Suggestions would be great! My husband and I read in a devotional together about daily to-do lists are important but its more important to focus on a daily "to be" list...cheerful, joyful etc. I thought that was insightful. Stop by my blog anytime. God Bless; Micah
ReplyDeletevery nice. I'm going to have to get myself going with something like this; I feel like at the end of a lot of days I look back and see nothing done. thanks for the motivation to get organized. :)
ReplyDeletenice lists! And what is "in the zone" for you??? In the tub? Reading a book? Or chasing Zachary? Just curious.;-)
ReplyDeleteMay I have a copy of yours?
ReplyDelete(I have not forgotten your request for code...coming...tonight!)
ReplyDeleteSecond - I love these...are you emailing them out? ;)
You are so awesome. I am totally inspired by this. I can't wait to have a new house to get all organized. Somethign about organizing just thrills me!
Hmmm. The phrase "O.C.D." keeps running around in my head.
ReplyDeleteAw, but you know I love you. The need for heavy meds and all.
heh heh
Umm when you do this fly-lady thing...do you feel like you are cleaning 24/7? I finally hired a house cleaner b/c I feel soooo completely overwhelmed. Plus I'm tired and pregnant, but I don't plan on keeping her around forever, and she only comes once a month...just wondering if you could give some advice! Thanks; Micah
